hey people, you can always use paint remover on the rims, and then sand down the rest of it, i recommend only doing this to an alloy wheel, lie my rims are alloy and there already painted, if i wanted to havem repainted, i would use paint remover and then now my rim is naked alloy, now i can primer paint then clear, that? is the best way i think about passing up sanding.

one trick to masking is index cards fold and double up also buy a cheap "lazy susan" turnstyle if its too small use a small chunk? of wood being able to turn and spray at the same time give a good coat on wheels

But im glad to try to help :) Id say that the inner portion is going to be covered in a tonne of brake dust so its not absolutely necessary. But, i would recommend doing the inner portion first, yes. Clean the whole rim first! Mask up between each spoke so no paint gets? through. Dont do the other side till its dry. Then mask up between the spokes again but on the other side when you paint the front face. :D

@SniperM90X Leave the primer to dry for almost a day. then do the base. leaving around 5 mins between coats. leave that to dry for almost a day too. give it a light wet sand with about 1500 or even 2000 grit wet&sand paper to remove s**t thats stuck to the paint. Then clear coat. leave it to 'flash' as marty said in the video and then another coat. Leave it for a day. wet sand again from like 1500 or 1800 then 2000 grit? wet&dry. Then buff it up after that too! hope that helped :)

Thats my approximation, Im actually doing it this weekend. Getting them professionally? powder coated can be anywhere from 300 to 500. and i dont know if that includes preping them. And? you never know, they mite do a dodgy job and it turns to s**t a bit after. (it happens)

Thats my approximation, Im actually doing it this weekend. Getting them professionally powder coated can be anywhere from 300 to 500. and i dont know if that includes preping them. And you never know, they mite do a dodgy job? and it turns to s**t a bit after. (it happens)

do you let the base coat dry before adding? the clear coat? or do you apply the clear coat right after applying the base coat?
